I'm doing an MA at York University in Science and Technology Studies. My research is about smart home technology, specifically, the open-source project 'Home Assistant', and how it reconfigures domestic control. I recently graduated from McGill with a Bachelor of Arts in English (Cultural Studies) and Statistics. This is my personal site, made from scratch with help from eleventy and an inherited domain name.
Some of the things I've been up to:
- Reading literature in fields/topics of STS, surveillance studies, free software, and disability
- Organizing with the York U chapter of Independent Jewish Voices
- Attending events hosted by Civic Tech and Tech Workers Canada
- Memorizing song lyrics so I can sing to myself on cold walks when my phone battery is dead
